IUP's PRSSA got the opportunity to get a tour of a Branding Agency. The members got to sit down with the owner, Ben Butler. His agency offers the following for clients; full brand development, rebranding, packaging design, print & digital design, photography, videography and motion graphics.
Butler gave a tour of his agency. It a modern style office with quirky flares that clearly emphasizes their creativeness as a whole. They have a wall with shelves of awards for the work they have designed for clients.
Butler gave advice like don’t give up, have thick skin and have something that you are an expert at. It is no secret that this field is highly competitive and ever-changing. So, you need to have something in your back pocket that will blow your possible future employer out of the water. Everyone going into that interview has a degree, a cover letter and a resume but perhaps they do not have the same talent that you have crafted to be your own.
The members left Top Hat feeling
and reminded that yes, rejection is going to happen while in the job searching, but wipe off the dust and pick yourself up again.
